The Earth consists of a finite amount of resources. Human beings have been using up most of these resources over the years. The most common use of this is the implementation of fossil fuels. These wind farms include high-powered turbines in considerable quantity. The farms are built on open windy areas or on a vast floating platform in the ocean.
Wind energy is one of the most viable renewable energy types. The credit is all due to the safety of this energy form. There are little to no drawbacks to the environment around these farms. This is the reason why wind energy is so widely used today alongside solar energy too. With the avid use of turbines, maintenance can lead to new job opportunities too.
The main drawback with wind energy is the amount of land the farms occupy. The area required needs to be of adequate size and cannot be close to a city. Building a farm near a city leads to noise pollution and creates a dense feeling. The farms have to be built far and as a result, transporting energy can have high costs. Regular maintenance also needs to be conducted and safety protocols to be followed.
