Dale F. Druckrey

Dale F. Druckrey, age 77 of Bonduel, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 as a result of a house fire. Born on May 31, 1933 in Shawano, he was the son of the late Albert and Alyce (Knutson) Druckrey. While attending the Bonduel High School, Dale was very active in many sporting activities and participated in high school football and basketball. He also played baseball for the Bonduel Broncos. After graduating from high school, Dale furthered his education at the UW-Madison. He then worked for many years as a social worker in Menominee County. Dale also had a farmette where he raised beef cattle. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and trout fishing, especially when his nephews went along. Dale was very proactive in environmental and conservation issues. He was also a very generous person who donated to many charitable organizations. He was a member of numerous Trout Unlimited Chapters, was on the Bonduel Scholarship Fund Committee, was active with the Bonduel Archives, and was a member of the Navarino Nature Center and the Shawano Club. He was also an active member of the Shawano Masonic Lodge, on the Clean Water Act Council of Northeastern Wisconsin, and a member at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel.

Dale is survived by: a brother, Charles Druckrey of Bonduel; a sister, Diane Vanden Brook of Bonduel; nieces and nephews, Nancy (Don) Bogacz of Pulaski, Doug (Geraldine) Druckrey of Bonduel, Pat (Terry) Kluz of Schofield, Lori (Al) Schwartz of Mequon, Dave Druckrey of Bonduel, Tim (Wendi) Vanden Brook of Bonduel, Julie (Steve) Hoffman of Green Bay; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by: his parents; sister-in-law, Romaine Druckrey; and brother-in-law, George Vanden Brook.

A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday after 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
