Taste of Shawano back for 11th year

The 11th annual Taste of Shawano will be held on March 26 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the commons at Shawano Community High School.

Tickets are available now at Premier Community Bank and both CoVantage Credit Union locations in Shawano. The pre-sale adult price is $15 per person. Tickets will be available the night of the event, but the adult price will be $20 at the door. Students are $10 each, while children under 5 are free.

The event will provide a “taste” of Shawano and Menominee counties. Junior Achievement, which created the event, will again be asking attendees to vote for the Best of Show vendor. New this year will be a Best of Show travelling award for one deserving vendor to proudly display until next year’s event.

A shuttle bus will be available between the high school parking lots and the door provided by Johnson School Bus Service.

Many local businesses have donated sought after items for raffle baskets. Additionally, a 50/50 raffle will be conducted. Entertainment will be provided by the Shawano Community Middle School orchestra, Shuffles Studio of Dance, and Ignite Dance & Fitness Studio.

Junior Achievement’s purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. JA’s programs help students find a career they can excel at, build skills to pursue their academic dreams, and guide social mobility to avoid poverty.
