Bowler girls defeated in regional final

The Bowler girls basketball team ended its season with a 63-44 loss to Tri-County in the WIAA Division 5 regional final on Saturday.

Senior Reanne Kietlinski led the fouth-seeded Panthers with 24 points and eight rebounds. Kayla Pecore added nine points and Jodi Wolf had eight points and six rebounds.

“We struggled against a talented and senior-heavy Tri-County squad,” Bowler coach Ted Kietlinski said. “However, this loss to the No. 1 seed does not diminish any of our great accomplishments this season.”

The Panthers end the season 17-8 and clinched the Central Wisconsin Conference-North title for the first time in program history.

Reanne Kietlinski also set records, scoring 2,096 total points during her Bowler High School basketball career to become 13th in scoring in state history.
