Manawa 45

“Cory Fraaza had a monster night on the offensive end of the floor,” coach Lon Ebel said. “He’s meant a lot to our program and its been pretty amazing to have two seniors hit 1,000 in the same year. I’m not sure we will ever see that happen again in our program.”

Seymour 59
Shawano 45

Shawano girls trailed by four at halftime against No. 1 in the Bay Conference, Seymour, but were outpaced in the second half to lose the matchup.

“I thought we played well for having played (Thursday) too,” coach Ryan Koenig said. “We tried our best and were determined, but we were just a step slow in rebounding and gave them way too many opportunites for multiple attempts at the basket.”

Tori DePerry led the Hawks with 19 points and Rachel Reed added 13.

Freedom 70
Clintonville 37

Elly Arndt scored 10 points to lead Clintonville in its loss to Freedom. Lindsy Carpenter followed with eight and Abby King seven.

“When we started making turnovers in the first half is when the game got away on us,” coach Nick Yaeger said. “But I love the girls’ attitude and I love how hard they work. There is no quit in them.”

Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 30

Bridget Bazile led Marion with 11 points in its victory over Wisconsin Valley Lutheran. Kyla Zillmer picked up eight rebounds and Abby Polzin made four steals.
