Hawks running out of chances to get win

The Shawano varsity football team at 0-7 has only two more chances to secure a victory and avoid an embarrassing no-win season.

Friday, the Hawks will host a Marinette (4-3) team that is in the thick of the Bay Conference playoff hunt. Marinette is chasing Hortonville (4-2) and Seymour (4-2) for third place.

The Marines have been streaky this season: winning their first three games, going on a three-game losing streak and then righting themselves last week in a emotional 14-13 victory over Hortonville.
