Shawano loses to West De Pere in overtime

After a big win Tuesday at home against Hortonville, the Shawano varsity soccer team took West De Pere to overtime in a Bay Conference match in De Pere.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->Shawano's Garrett Schlise matched West De Pere's goal during regulation play, but West De Pere got the overtime goal to win the match 2-1.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->Today Shawano will host Luxemburg-Casco (6-4-1) at 6:30 p.m.

Shawano's Garrett Schlise matched West De Pere's goal during regulation play, but West De Pere got the overtime goal to win the match 2-1.

Today Shawano will host Luxemburg-Casco (6-4-1) at 6:30 p.m.

The Shawano Lady Hawks varsity volleyball team came into Thursday night's Bay Conference game against Denmark in Shawano determined to prove it could play better than it had last week against Seymour.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->"We stumbled on Tuesday against Seymour a little bit," Shawano volleyball coach Jean Wolff said. "We didn't play up to our ability.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->The Lady Hawks certainly seemed to set themselves right, getting an emotional win over Denmark 3-1.

Shawano shuts out Luxemberg-Casco

<p>Shawano shuts out Luxemberg-Casco</p><p>The Shawano varsity soccer team defeated Luxemberg-Casco 2-0 Friday night, making up for a game cancelled earlier in the season.</p><p>Xavier Montez and Jacob Schnell scored Shawano's goals. Mark Mallett and Matt Koehler were credited with assists.</p><p>Mike Meisner had 10 saves and earned the shutout in the win.</p><p>The Hawks will go on the road Tuesday to play the Bay Conference leading Seymour (9-2-1).</p>

Clintonville holds off Little Chute

<p>Jacob Reiter led Clintonville with 92 yards rushing on 23 carries, including a four-yard touchdown run as the Truckers defeated Little Chute 14-7 at Little Chute Friday night.</p><p>Josh Simpson scored the Truckers first touchdown of the game in the first quarter on a 27 yard pass from quarterback Ben Klein.

Bonduel rolls over Pacelli

<p>A large homecoming crowd packed Rush Niles Memorial Field for Bonduel's varsity football game against Central Wisconsin Conference-8 foe Pacelli.</p><p>Whether it was the crowd or wanting to make up for last week's loss to Shiocton, the Bears looked ready from the first snap of the ball -- which running back Spencer Froemming took to the house for a 75-yard touchdown.</p><p>Bonduel had control from then on, winning 36-14.</p><p>"It's a great way to come back from last week," Froemming said after the game.</p><p&g

Three inducted into hall of fame

<p>Bonduel High School inducted three members into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame in a ceremony prior to the varsity football game Friday night.</p><p>The athletes -- Stuart Krull ('49), Jane Kallies Watermolen ('74) and Jason Boldt ('96) -- were presented a plaque by Bonduel athletic director Roger Toole.</p><p>"It's really exciting," Boldt said after the ceremony. "Humbling actually."</p><p>Boldt says the award brings back a lot of memories. Boldt played football, basketball and baseball.
