Florence M. Jones

Florence M. Jones, 74, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, in Shawano. She was born in Shawano on Aug. 24, 1942, daughter of the late Reinhart “Pete” and Lucy (Stewart) Schenk.

Florence graduated from Shawano High School and on Oct. 13, 1962, was united in marriage to Wesley Jones in Shawano. Wesley preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1990. Florence was an active and faithful member of River Valley Church in Shawano where she served on numerous committees over the years. She spent countless hours babysitting for friends and relatives and was always willing to help a friend in need.

Florence’s door was always open and she was more than willing to lend an ear to family and friends. She was a special person and a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Angeline V. Fischer

Angeline Violet Fischer, of Birnamwood, died on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was 96 years old.

She was born on June 24, 1920, in Gresham, the daughter of the late John and Ella (Reinert) Fischer. Angeline was married to the late Edward John Fischer on Nov. 9, 1940, in White Lake. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1994.

Angeline was a cook at Bowler Lumber Company when she met Edward. After their marriage they started a cattle farm outside of Mattoon. For many years she was Edward’s partner in running the farm and raising six children. Once her children were grown she continued her love of cooking and became a cook for the Antigo school system until she retired at age 62. Once retired, she spent her time enjoying her many grandchildren and pursuing her hobbies of fishing, camping and painting ceramics.

Ronald L. Wojta

Ronald “Ron” Louis Wojta, of the town of Richmond, Shawano, went home to be with his Lord on Nov. 6, 2016. Ron was born on June 14, 1934, in Two Rivers. It was Flag Day and Ron always told the kids they put the flag out for his birthday. He was the oldest son of the late Ignatz and Angeline (Taddy) Wojta.

Ron attended St. Luke’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1952. Ron played and managed softball teams for many years while living in Two Rivers. He also played the trumpet and had his own seven-piece oldtime band for 12 years. After giving up the orchestra, he still played with other bands on occasion. In addition to these pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

On March 6, 1970, Ron married his best friend, sweetheart, companion and helper, the former Lea Ann Cline in Menominee, Michigan. For the next 46 years they worked together in all aspects of family and business life, always working as a team.

Darwin R. Peeters

Darwin “Butch” R. Peeters, 63, of Briarton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born on Sept. 28, 1953, son of Leland Peeters and the late Monica (Young) Peeters.

On Nov. 13, 1981, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Wagester.

Darwin worked as a foreman at Freimuth Masonry until his health failed. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football, setting up at the flea markets, and he loved time spent with his two grandchildren.

Milton L. Langsten

Milton “Le” L. Langsten, 82, of the Township of Morris, Shawano County, passed away Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, 2016, at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.

Milton Leland Langsten was born on Aug. 14, 1934, in Milwaukee to the late Milton C. and Roberta M. (Sawyer) Langsten. He grew up in the West Allis area and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1957-1959.

Margie E. Kellogg

Margie Ellen Kellogg, 71, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, in Shawano.

Margie was born in Lena on Jan. 15, 1945, the daughter of the late Earl and Celestia (Wenzel) Huff.

Margie was a hairdresser for many years and owned Margie Salon in Oshkosh. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Red Hats. Margie was a Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and spending time with her family.

Margie is survived by her children, Tammy, Jim (Sam) and Billie Jo (Jerry) Boivin; grandchildren, Aric, Shane, Judy, Amber, Pete, Nikki (Eric), Kevin, Khali, Randy Jr. (Alyssa), Dakota, Jerry Jr., Natasha (Darell); four sisters, Suzanne Ossmann, Judy Bies, Ginger Kellogg and Heidi Teller; and one brother, James Huff.

She was preceded in death by one son, Randy; one daughter, Cassandra; four grandchildren, Bobbie Jo, Jaimi and twin grandsons Marcus and Maliq Boivin.
