Here is a look at some of the top performances in the area over the past week:

Gage Timm — Shawano wrestling

Despite Shawano posting a 1-4 dual record at the Wisconsin-Michigan Border Battle at Marinette High School last Saturday, Hawks sophomore Gage Timm had a strong day on the mat. Timm posted a 4-1 mark while wrestling at 152 pounds. He earned one decision win before pinning three opponents. He saved his best for last, pinning Alex Rios of Mendon (Michigan) in just 1 minute, 4 seconds.

Kara Troxel — Bonduel girls basketball

The Bonduel girls basketball has lost just once all season, using a balanced scoring attack to get the job done. Troxel, a sophomore helped the team to its most recent wins, totaling 10 points, five steals and three assists against Iola-Scandinavia on Tuesday and scoring 22 points in a nonconference win over Gillett last Friday. She hit four 3-pointers against Gillett.

Michael Gibson — Wittenberg-Birnamwood boys basketball

Even while the Chargers dropped a pair of games over the last week, senior Michael Gibson has been a force on both ends of the floor. Gibson recorded 16 points, 13 rebounds and five steals in the team’s loss to Weyauwega-Fremont on Tuesday. He contributed 17 points and 11 rebounds in a tight nonconference loss to Northland Pines last Friday and is currently averaging a double-double for the season.

Mimi Beaulieu-Morgan — Menominee Indian girls basketball

The Eagles have won four of their last five games, and Mimi Beaulieu-Morgan has been helping lead the surge. The sophomore scored 23 points in a 28-point win over Shiocton on Tuesday. She tallied 28 points in a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover victory over Tigerton on Jan. 3, hitting six first half 3-pointers during the contest.

Izaiah Hidde — Tigerton boys basketball

The senior stuffed the stat sheet as the Tigers split a pair of games over the past week. In a loss to Marion on Tuesday, Hidde compiled 10 points, five assists and four steals for Tigerton. In a win over Lena on Saturday, he totaled 23 points and six rebounds. He also hit a pair of 3-pointers and got to the free throw line 11 times.
