Shawano/Bonduel fourth at Bay Conference Sprints Invite

The Shawano/Bonduel girls swimming co-op took fourth place while competing in the Bay Conference Sprints Invite in Shawano on Thursday.

Macy Monfils led the co-op with a third place finish in the 25-yard freestyle (13.26 seconds). Madi Hanson took third in the 50-breaststroke (35.91) while the 200 freestyle relay team of Monfils, Hanson, Elizabeth Dillenburg and Isabel Colon also took third in 1 minute, 58.64 seconds.

The co-op saw its 200 medley team of Colon, Hanson, Monfils and Dillenburg come in fourth in 2:11.97.

Clintonville took fifth as a team, led by Sami Smejkal’s second place finish in the 100 IM (1:06.75). Brianna Foth took fourth in the 100 freestyle (1:01.50) and 50 freestyle (28.76). The Truckers’ 100 freestyle team of Foth, Smejkal, Willow Skar and and Kelli Smith took fifth in 55.49 seconds.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood placed seventh as a team with 78.5 points. The Chargers’ 100 medley relay team of Lauren Bahr, Crysta Stennett, Christina Thrun and Alexa Chaney took third in 1:03.60 while Bahr took second in the 50 backstroke (30.00). The 100 freestyle relay team of Thrun, Adreonna Bessert, Chaney and Bahr took fifth in 58.60 seconds.
