Troxel, Wilson each take second at T-Bird Invitational

Bonduel’s Kara Troxel earned a second place finish at the T-Bird Invitational on Thursday, helping the Bonduel girls to a fourth place finish as a team.

Troxel completed the course in 21 minutes, 29.44 seconds. Iola-Scandinavia’s Jada Beacom won the race in 20:23.47.

Madison Kurey (22:55.65) came in 14th for the Bears while Breanna Schnell (24:42.98) took 28th. Jessica Ewing (25:13.84) and Katlin Thompson (27:50.86) placed 31st and 49th to complete the team’s top five runners.

Clintonville also competed, taking seventh as a team on the girls side. Jasmine Wilson (22:06.31) came in fifth overall while Kayla Klemp (23:58.46) took 23rd. Alli Smejkal (26:30.52), Katie Lamberies (27:16.26) and Esther Kahlan (28:49.67) rounded out the team score.

The Marion girls had two runners competing. Hannah Krueger finished in 31:53.44 while Ashley Fischer crossed the finish line in 32:19.55. Gresham/Bowler’s Maya Theix posted a time of 35:14.78.

Clintonville’s Jesse Wilson took second in the boys race, finishing in 17:36.61. Clintonville edged Bonduel for first as a team.

Austin Tosdale (17:45.97) took fifth for the Truckers while Cameron Mauel (18:11.72) took seventh. Klay Barkow (19:50.94) and Cody Carrico (20:43.80) rounded out the team score by finishing 13th and 28th, respectively.

Jared Wondra (17:51.72) led Bonduel with a sixth place finish while Colin Ewing (18:24.96) and Carter Kurey (18:43.22) came in eighth and 10th, respectively. William Beaumier (19:47.73) and Jack Johnson (21:35.42) placed 12th and 36th, respectively.

Menominee Indian’s Ashton Cox (20:45.90) took 29th. Jason Komanekin (22:59.07), Jameson Besaw (24:47.68) and Joshua Besaw (25:14.64) also competed for the Eagles.

Marion’s Justin Wuske (20:05.36) finished 16th, Reed Wiesman (21:34.76) 34th and Isaiah Gueths (22:13.01) 39th. Gresham/Bowler’s Levi Schick (20:19.85) and Noah Bestul (22:28.64) took 21st and 44th while Donnie Edwards finished in 33:21.79.

Beyer, Chelberg each take eighth to pace Shawano

Lydia Beyer crossed the finish line in eighth to lead the Shawano girls to a fourth place finish as a team at the De Pere Invitational on Thursday. Ethan Chelberg also took eighth to help the boys come in fourth.

Beyer posted a time of 21:58.10 seconds. Green Bay Southwest’s Greta Hansen took first in 20:37.46.

Alice Hoffman (22:18.52) took 10th for the Hawks while Dayna Besaw (22:48.50) finished 13th. Carrie Young (23:57.46) and Claire Guenther (24:18.39) rounded out the varsity score by placing 28th and 32nd, respectively.

Chelberg finished the course in 18:21.19 while Bay Port’s Ryan Thieme won the race in 17:03.93.

Karsten Anderson (18:56.91) took 14th for the Hawks. Demetrius Kaquatosh (19:44.70), Joseph Mente (20:14.39) and Johnny Dillenburg (21:05.14) each finished in the top 35.
