LeRoy J. ‘Budge’ Waupoose

LeRoy J. “Budge” Waupoose, 84, of Keshena, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, in Shawano. LeRoy was born in Keshena on April 26, 1934, son of the late Robert and Mary (Tomow) Waupoose Sr. On Dec. 13, 1959, he was united in marriage to Virginia “Rose” Neconish in Shawano. Budge enjoyed living at Crow settlement. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. LeRoy loved to spend time with his numerous nieces and nephews, who all loved him.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Rose, of Keshena; his daughter, Trudell (Rocky) Guenette, of Clintonville; sons, Gordon Waupoose, of Green Bay, and Calvin “Randy” (Arlene) Holder, of Arizona; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters, Matilda “Tillie” Zhuckkahosee, Virginia Shawanokasic, Rosene Wescott, Aloysius “Al” Waupoose Sr., Robert “Bob” Waupoose Sr., Christine “Tina” Johnson, Evelyn “Boots” Waupoose, Lorene Pocan, and Irene Tebeau.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Nonito Barra officiating. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday. A wake service will be held at the Neopit Community Center on Sunday at 7 p.m.
