Library offers variety of activities for February

The Shawano County Library has many great programs planned for February.

Programs being held at the Shawano City-County Library, 128 S. Sawyer St., Shawano, include a beekeeping program presented by Michael Paiser on Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Additionally, there will be a Spanish-language movie night Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. The program is co-sponsored by the Shawano Area Literacy Council and will feature the film “Valentin” along with light refreshments. February’s escape room theme is “Olympic Dream.” Group reservations for this experience can be made by calling the library.

Children’s programs include Baby and Me on Tuesdays, story time on Wednesdays and Gather ‘Round on Thursdays, all at 10 a.m.

Teen Tuesdays run weekly from 3-5 p.m. Programs include a juggling game, Manga buttons, edible slime and bug magnets. Teens can drop in anytime after school to join.

For adults, Needles ‘R’ Us meets Fridays at 9 a.m. DIY Crafts and More will be held Feb. 26 at 4:30 p.m. and will feature decorating mugs with Sharpies.

The Bonduel Library, 125 N. Washington St., will also offer a story time on Thursdays at 11 a.m. for children of all ages.

All programs are free and sponsored by the Friends of Shawano County Libraries Inc.
