Five run for school board seats

There are five candidates running for three positions on the Clintonville School Board. Incumbents Ben Huber and Laurie Vollrath join challengers Patrick Danforth, Larry Czarnecki and Daryl Schroeder.

Huber is board president. Vollrath was appointed to fill the term of Jim Dins, who resigned. Danforth has attended board meetings and talked about a variety of subjects. Czarnecki has been a former candidate for the board. Schroeder’s mother had served on the board for many years.

Candidate filing extended in Clintonville

Richard Beggs is running for Clintonville mayor, while Mike Hankins and Chuck Manske are running for another term on the Common Council.

Alderpersons Lance Bagstad, Mark Doornink and Amy Steenbock have filed their non-candidacy papers. The filing of candidates is extended 72 hours in districts 3 and 5 only. Candidates have until 5 p.m. Friday to file at City Hall.
