Shiocton 66

Bonduel 44

Bonduel trailed by six at halftime, but struggled in the second half as Shiocton secured a comfortable lead.

“We were really competitive for the first 30 minutes of the game,” head coach Jerry Reinke said. “They just got some breakaways. We knew it was going to be a challenge, they’ve got a pretty good team.

Shiocton’s leg up came in out-rebounding the Bears. Bonduel secured 26 rebounds to Shiocton’s 41.

“That’s what hurt us,” Reinke said. “Rebounds just got us bad tonight.”

The Bears were successful from the line, shooting 16 of 18 free throws. They also had a diverse 3-point game, with four players hitting from behind the arc.

Kylie Guenther led the Bears with 13 points and six rebounds and Brynn Reinke and Jessie LaBerge each scored eight points.

Bowler 61

Gresham 31

Bowler topped Gresham in a Central Wisconsin Conference-North matchup on Friday. Reanne Kietlinski dominated with 35 points for the Panthers and Jodi Wolf chipped in 12.

Gresham’s Kamille Davids led with Wildcats with nine points.

“Gresham came ready to play tonight,” Bowler coach Ted Kietlinski said. “The final score doesn’t indicate how competitive this game was for the first 14 minutes. We picked up the intensity defensively in the second half and turned that pressure into transition baskets.”

Marion 50

Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 46

Marion topped Wisconsin Valley Lutheran in overtime after trailing to start.

“We came out really slow,” Marion head coach Brad Fischer said. “Wisconsin Valley played more intense and aggressive. The second half our intensity picked up and we forced overtime and were able to get the win.”

Abby Polzin led Marion with 23 points and four assists. Morgan Radcliffe added nine points and four steals and Breanna Krohn tallied eight points, seven rebounds and four steals.

Wisconsin Valley Lutheran’s Cassady Marosek scored a game-high 29 points.
