David R. Boche

David R. “Bosh” Boche, 66, of Gillett, passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017. He was born Nov. 11, 1950, to Bernard and Margaret (Schmeling) Boche in Oshkosh and grew up in Shawano, Winneconne, and Menasha.

David graduated from Menasha High School on June 4, 1969, and joined the United States Army Reserves. He did his active duty basic training, advanced infantry training and graduated drill sergeant School at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He completed six years of service and was honorably discharged as a drill sergeant with the rank of sargent first class (E-7).

Early in his life, David was employed at Jersild Knitting Company working in the shipping department. On June 14, 1980, he married Deborah Gothe. Later in life, he started David Boche Construction, working as a carpenter and contractor.

David is survived by his wife, Debby; his brother, Donald Boche; his nephew, Jason (Beth) Boche; sisters-in-law, Paula (Bruce) Wendler and Kimberly (Paul) Hendricks; his goddaughter and niece, Jessica (Andrew) Trombello; and nieces, Kristi (Matthew) Vander Zanden and Alecia Hendricks; as well as by their families.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; and by his stepmother, Nannette (Jersild) Boche.

A funeral service for David will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in David’s name.
