Q How long have you been the treasurer for SAM25?

A “I’ve been with them for about a year.”

Q What do you do?

A “When they opened, MJ (office manager and accounting assistant, MJ Wegner) and I took meals there. As treasurer, I do financials and prepare checks. We are always looking for different ways to raise money.”

Q Where else do you volunteer?

A “I’m the director of the St. James School Board. I facilitate the meetings and assist with the voucher program. I’m treasurer of the Shawano County Arts Council. I make deposits, pay bills, attend meetings and facilitate policy. I’ve been the director of Shawano Storm Volleyball since 2009. I basically facilitate the registration process, have tryouts, find coaches, pay bills, and find and register for tournaments. Annette Westphal and I are in charge of the food stand at the in the Crawford Center for St. James at the Shawano County Fair. Proceeds go to the missions.”

Q Why do you volunteer?

A “I feel that it’s a duty being a citizen of the United States that you help others. It’s too much of a me, me society. We need to show young people that they have to give.”
