Letter: Nuclear deal with Iran is insane

To the editor:

Isn’t it swell we now have a deal with Iran that takes away all the fear about nuclear weapons getting into the hands of terrorists?

Just to recap how swell the deal is, let’s look at it in detail.

1. We still will allow Iran to enrich some nuclear material. (I’m sure they will report everything they do.)

2. We will allow Iran to get billions of dollars back, by removing sanctions, to support terrorists all over the world just as they are doing now, only better.

3. We will have to “ask” the Iranian government for permission to inspect certain nuclear facilities. (Won’t that work out really well?)

4. We must give Iran notice well in advance of inspections the U.N. wishes to make of nuclear facilities. (For sure, Iran would not cheat or hide things from the U.N., now would they?)

5. In just a few years, Iran will be allowed to acquire military equipment — ballistic missiles, anti-aircraft weapons and other offensive hardware — from anyone. (I feel safer already, don’t you?)

Do any of you really think this deal is going to stop Iran? Please contact you elected representatives and ask them to stop this insane deal!
