Verna L. Brocker was born Sept. 21, 1924, in the town of Hobart, Brown County, a daughter of the late Charles and Ella (Schumacher) Brocker.

On Feb. 14, 1942, she was united in marriage to Wilbur Bunkelman at Oneida. Following their marriage the couple moved to Seymour. Verna was employed at the dry cleaners in Seymour for many years. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Patricia (Augie) Peotter, of Appleton, Janice Sawall, of New London, and Julie (Steve) Dyer, of St. Mary’s, Ga.
