Olson scores five goals for Wildcats

The Gresham/Bowler high school boys soccer team beat Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 10-0 in a match Tuesday in Mosinee.

Austin Olson led Gresham/Bowler (8-4) with five goals. Scott Cerveny had two goals. Drew Payne, Kalen Fischer and Levi Ludvigsen added a goal each. Walker Miller had four assists.

Gresham/Bowler goalie Neil Cerveny had three saves.

Bonduel sweeps Iola-Scandinavia

The Bonduel High School volleyball team beat Iola-Scandinavia 3-0 Tuesday in Bonduel.

The Bears won 25-20, 25-7, 25-20 over Iola-Scandinavia (1-3).

Bonduel’s Jenni Dowden had 18 digs, seven blocks and 25 kills. Courtney Schmidt had 23 assists for Bonduel (2-3 Central Wisconsin Conference).

Hawks third at Clintonville

The Shawano Community High School volleyball team took third place Saturday at the Clintonville Invitational in Clintonville.

Shawano went 3-2, beating Abbotsford 25-17, 25-17, in the third-place game. Owen-Withee won the event.

Shawano’s Erika Dunnam had 28 kills, 21 blocks, 49 digs and seven aces. Annelies Young had 49 assists and seven aces. Haley Going had 97 digs.

Clintonville took sixth at the tourney.

Hawks boys 13th at Smiley

The Shawano Community High School boys cross-country team took 13th and the girls finished 18th Saturday at the 57th annual Smiley Invitational at American Legion Golf Course in Wausau.

The boys were led by Jake Klister, who finished 25th in 17 minutes, 20 seconds. Stevens Point won the meet, followed by Kimberly and Eau Claire Memorial.

Teagan Monfils led the Shawano girls, finishing in 16:10 and placing 28th.

Eagan won the girls meet, followed by Sun Prairie and Stevens Point.

Tigers beat Wildcats 3-1

The Tigerton High School volleyball team beat Gresham 3-1 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 match Tuesday in Tigerton.

Tigerton (3-2) beat Gresham (1-4) 25-21, 20-25, 25-23, 25-14.

Tigerton’s Erin Robbins had 21 points, eight aces and 20 assists. Summer Kopitzke had 12 points. Emily Wendt had six kills, while Kelsey Berg and Katie Watters had four each.

Gresham’s Lyndsey Anderson had 11 kills. Tylena Bohl had 10 kills. Nande Carroll had 19 assists, and Brittny Andrews had 14 points.

Chargers sweep Pacelli

The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School volleyball team swept Stevens Point Pacelli 3-0 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-8 match Tuesday in Wittenberg.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood (5-0) beat Pacelli (1-3) 25-12, 25-11, 25-16.

W-B’s Micah Nier had eight kills and six blocks. Taylor Bushman had nine kills and 11 digs. Taylor Nier had seven kills and 10 digs. Madi Bushman had 25 assists.
